The University of Florida cross country program and has launched its own Twitter page to follow all the action as the Gators begin the 2009 season.
Fans can follow the team at www.twitter.com/GatorZoneXCntry. They will get meet results as soon as they become available, as well as the latest cross country news.
A free Twitter account is not needed to read the updates, but individuals who create their own profiles can receive instantaneous updates on their computers or cell phones using a variety of applications.
The Gators kick off their season on Friday, Sept. 18 as they host the Mountain Dew Invitational on the UF Golf Course. The women, who were picked to win the Southeastern Conference title by league coaches on Monday, race at 6:30 p.m. while the men take to the course at 7 p.m.
