Live Sports Radios are Back in The Swamp
Wednesday, September 2, 2009 | Football
The Gator Radio Network and Live Sports Radio (LSR) are pleased to announce that the football game-day radios are back by popular demand to enable fans to receive real-time broadcasts while at all home and away games. This service is added as an enhancement to fans who otherwise have no option to listen to live radio broadcasts in the stadium (stations began delaying signals a few years ago due to technical and safety parameters).
In addition to no-delay home broadcasts, this service also provides the unique option to listen to the Gator Radio Network broadcast with Mick Hubert, Lee McGriff, and Steve Babik while attending away games.
These radios can be purchased on-line at www.livesportsradio.com for only $20, plus shipping, handling, and tax.
The 2009 radio will work for all regular season games and post-season, a potential of 13 games. It can also be used during all home basketball games. There is no subscription fee or any other ongoing cost – this Florida Gator radio is yours to keep after the game – and can be used as normal FM radios.
What if I have a radio from 2008?
If you have already purchased a Live Sports Radio, the 2008 model will not work in 2009. LSR is required to obtain an FCC license for every stadium that the team will be playing in throughout the season and the frequencies assigned are different. However, you can send in your 2008 radio to have it reprogrammed for a charge of $10, which includes a new battery ($5 value) as well as a new lanyard. Your updated radio will also include a warranty for the 2009 season. This process can take up to two weeks to complete so don't delay.
