Football's Maurkice Pouncey Earns SEC Honor

University of Florida junior center Maurkice Pouncey (Lakeland, Fla.) earned Southeastern Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week honors following the Gators' 23-13 victory over Tennessee, the league office announced Monday.
Pouncey anchored an offensive line that outrushed the Vols 208 to 117 to open SEC play at 1-0. He graded out a Champion at 93 percent, marking the third-straight week earning a grade at 90 percent or higher. He has tallied three knockdowns through the season's first three weeks and helped Florida to a school-record 13 straight wins.
The Gators (3-0, 1-0) will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Kentucky (2-0, 0-0) on Saturday at 6 p.m. The game will air live on ESPN2.
