The 2009-2010 University of Florida Women's Basketball season is just around the corner! Last year, Head Coach Amanda Butler and her staff led the team to a record-tying 24 wins as the Gators returned to the NCAA Tournament. Now, as Coach Butler begins her third season at the helm of the Florida program, the Gators are hungry for more.
The fan base for Florida Women's Basketball has continued to increase while the ticket prices have stayed at the same prices. Florida Women's Basketball is affordable for fans to come out and watch the team battle for a post-season berth. Last season, the average attendance increased by nearly 600 fans per game. For the SEC season, the average attendance was more than 3,800, an increase of over 1,000 fans per game. Over 8,000 fans filled the O'Connell Center to watch as the #11 Gators defeated #12 Tennessee on February 8 for the second highest attended game in the program's history!
