Gators in the NFL - Wild Card Weekend

Ten former University of Florida football players advanced to the NFL postseason. Four players' teams earned bye weeks, while former Gator Lito Sheppard and the New York Jets advanced past the Wild Card round with a 24-14 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

· WR Andre Caldwell, Cincinnati – started and had two catches for 25 yards in the 24-14 loss to the Jets; ends the year second on the team with 53 receptions for 457 yards and second in return yards (539)
· WR Percy Harvin, Minnesota – named the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year last week; the Vikings will host the Dallas Cowboys next Sunday
· TE Cornelius Ingram, Philadelphia Eagles – was placed on injured reserve for Philadelphia before the season started after tearing an ACL during preseason camp; the Eagles were eliminated from the playoffs by the Cowboys, 34-14
· DE Bobby McCray, New Orleans –the Saints clinched home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs for the first time in franchise history and will face the Arizona Cardinals in the Divisional Round
· CB Keiwan Ratliff, Cincinnati – signed with the Bengals on January 4, 2010, but did not play against the Jets
· DT Ian Scott, San Diego – the Chargers clinched a first-round bye in the AFC playoff and will host the New York Jets in the Divisional Round next Sunday
· CB Lito Sheppard, New York Jets – started and was second on the team with six tackles, while also deflecting one pass in the 24-14 victory against Cincinnati; it was the Jets' first playoff win since a 20-17 overtime win against San Diego in 2004
· LB Brandon Siler, San Diego – will host the Jets in the second round of the postseason
· RB Fred Taylor, New England – rushed twice for one yard in the Patriots 33-14 loss to Baltimore; had 64 carries for 270 yards and four touchdowns and two catches for 17 yards in six games this season
· RB DeShawn Wynn, Green Bay – finished the season on injured reserve for the Packers; played in four games and rushed six times for 19 yards and also had two catches for 19 yards; Green Bay fell to Arizona 45-51 in overtime
