Gators To Take Part In Growl

The University of Florida men's and women's basketball teams will take part in Gator Growl on Friday night. The Gators' participation will be in place of Midnight Madness which would have been held on Friday night if not for the conflict with Gator Growl.
“We're thrilled to be a part of Gator Growl and had a great experience last year,” said head men's basketball coach Billy Donovan. “I think it really gave fans an opportunity to see our men's and women's player's personalities come out a little bit and we hope that's the case again.”
The men's team will have a video presentation and then be introduced to the crowd. The women's squad will conduct a dance competition.
The women's team began practice last week in anticipation of its season, while the men's basketball team opens practice on Friday.
