Gator Gymnastics in Pink for 2010 Homecoming Parade

The Gator gymnastics team floated down University Avenue Friday on a big pink cake in the 2010 Florida Homecoming Parade. The tie to the pink float is important to the Gator gymnasts, as the team has played host to a breast cancer awareness meet each of the last four seasons. Raising awareness about prevention and the fight against breast cancer is a Southeastern Conference initiative and all of the league's teams participate in a breast cancer awareness meet during the course of the season. In 2011, the Gators Link to Pink meet is set for Jan. 28 versus Penn State and North Carolina State.
