In surfing around the Internet this morning reading various items on Florida's loss to Mississippi State, I couldn't help but notice several different accounts on the last time the Gators lost three consecutive games.
For clarification purposes, here are the facts:
--The Gators last lost three consecutive games in 1999, losing at home to Florida State, in the SEC Championship Game to Alabama, and in the Citrus Bowl to Michigan State.
--The Gators last lost three consecutive regular-season games in 1988 during a four-game losing streak in the middle of a 7-5 season.
--As for the last time the Gators lost back-to-back home games, it was in 2003 when they lost to Tennessee at home, won on the road at Kentucky, and then returned home and lost to Ole Miss.
