Gator Text Alerts Now Available

The University Athletic Association, in partnership with Verizon, has launched Gator Alerts, a new text messaging program available for all cell phone customers, regardless of their mobile provider.
Fans who opt in to Gator Alerts will receive updates on key game day information, game time changes, ticket deadlines and other important messages. The program is an opt-in system, and fans are guaranteed to receive a minimum of zero to a maximum of five text messages per week (text messaging & data rates may apply). Fans may also opt out at any time.
"Gator Alerts allows fans to get the latest updates on key Gator information," said Mike Hill, Senior Associate Athletics Director at the University of Florida. "If a game were affected by severe weather, fans with the service would get immediate updates on the game's status. In addition, when important ticket deadlines are established, Gator Alerts subscribers will be in the know."
Gator Alerts are now available by texting “UFSports” to 64691.
