RV Parking Information For Florida-Vanderbilt Game
Monday, November 1, 2010 | Football
College football fans traveling in recreational vehicles to Nashville for the Gators' game at Vanderbilt on Saturday have a new overnight parking location.
Vanderbilt officials, responding to a need for overnight RV parking in conjunction with football games, have designated a flat lot located at the corner of 21st Avenue South and Broadway to accommodate RV campers. The lot is located between the central campus, the university's 12-story Baker Building off 21st Avenue South and a structure that formerly housed the Wild Boar restaurant.
The new lot will house overnight RV parking for upcoming Vanderbilt football games against Florida (Nov. 6), Tennessee (Nov. 20) and Wake Forest (Nov. 27).
“Several entities on campus put a lot of time and effort into identifying this location for RV parking,” Vanderbilt Traffic and Parking Manager Lance Hale said. “It represents the best available option for fans arriving on campus in an RV.”
RV operators can park at the lot on Fridays after 6 p.m., CT, at a cost of $250. RVs can remain parked until Sunday at 12 noon.
The designated lot, a six-block walk from Vanderbilt Stadium, is easily accessible off 21st Avenue South from heavily travelled West End Avenue.
