
Florida Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award

The University of Florida soccer team has earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the 2009-10 academic year.
The award is given to teams with a collective grade point average of 3.0. The Gators have a cumulative GPA of 3.21. In January, the team set a program record when 18 players were named to the 2009-10 Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll.
A total of 630 men's and women's soccer teams earned the award for the 2009-10 academic year.
During the 2010 season, Florida claimed the Southeastern Conference regular-season and tournament titles. It held top 10 national rankings in 10 of the 12 NSCAA polls of the season.
