University of Florida head coach Mike Holloway addressed the media Monday morning as part of the Gators' All-Sports Media Day.
Coach Holloway talked about the team's preparations heading into the 2011 indoor season, which begins for the Gators on Jan. 15, traveling to University Park, Pa., to compete in the Nittany Lion Challenge.
The Florida track and field teams are coming off of four top-10 finishes during the 2010 campaign, including the 2010 NCAA Men's Indoor Championship. The Gator women won the 2010 SEC Indoor Championship, while the men claimed the 2010 SEC Outdoor Championship.
Coach Holloway then discussed and fielded questions about the teams' focus, on filling the role of All-American thrower Mariam Kevkhishvili, who graduated at the end of last season, on realistic expectations of the talented newcomers and on the women's team losing members of the team that accounted for all 40 points compiled at the 2010 NCAA Championships.
