Gator Gymnastics Team to Appear in Five Televised Meets in 2011 Regular Season

Five of the University of Florida gymnastics team's six Southeastern Conference dual meets will be televised during the 2011 regular season, the league office announced this week. The meets will be televised on a tape-delay basis.

Fox Sports Net (FSN) will air back-to-back meets on Jan. 22 and Jan. 29 at 10 p.m. The Jan. 14 home dual against preseason No. 24 Kentucky will be featured in the Jan. 22 broadcast and the Jan. 21 meet at No. 12 Louisiana State appears in the Jan. 29 broadcast.
The Gators' back-to-back meets versus perennial national powers Alabama and Georgia air through ESPNU. Florida's Feb. 4 home meet against No. 2 Alabama will be broadcast on Feb. 10 at 9 p.m., followed by the Feb. 12 dual at No. 7 Georgia on Feb.17 at 7 p.m. This is the 12th consecutive season the Gator gymnastics team has made at least one appearance on an ESPN channel.
Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) will air the Feb. 25 Florida at No. 11 Arkansas meet on March 1.
The SEC Championship in Birmingham, Ala., will air on ESPN2 on April 3 at 3 p.m.
Additions to the Florida's 2011 televised meet schedule are expected through the Gator athletic program's relationship with SUN Sports and will be announced as soon as dates are solidified.
