Gator Baseball Announces Sun Sports/FOX Sports Florida TV Schedule

The University of Florida baseball program and head coach Kevin O'Sullivan on Tuesday released its 2010 television schedule of games that will be carried on its regional sports network partner, Sun Sports/FOX Sports Florida. In addition, 19 contests will be carried on GatorVision Online, a live streaming video and audio service available through www.GatorZone.com.
UF's Southeastern Conference matchup versus Alabama in Tuscaloosa on May 8 is the "SEC's Game of the Week" and will air throughout the state. The Gators' first television appearance of the season through the package will take place on March 7, when they visit Miami (Fla.) in the finale of the Sunshine State rivals' weekend series in Coral Gables.
The television schedule for O'Sullivan's club features 10 contests against SEC competition, five at home and five on the road. Visits to Gainesville on the SEC opening weekend by Mississippi State (March 19 & 21), Vanderbilt (April 3 & 4) and Arkansas (April 24) will be aired, as will the second game of the series at Tennessee (April 10) and Alabama (May 8) and the entire series at South Carolina to close the regular season from May 20-22. Non-conference matchups with Florida State (March 16 in Gainesville and March 30 in Jacksonville) and Miami (Fla.) (March 7) will also be shown.
The GatorVision Online schedule will begin on opening night, Feb. 19, when USF visits to raise the curtain on the 56-game regular season. All three games of the series between the Gators and Bulls will be carried on-line. Other opponents in the package for subscribers include La Salle (February 26-28), Florida State (March 16), Bethune-Cookman (May 4), Florida Atlantic (May 12) and UNF (May 18).
Encounters with SEC rivals Mississippi State (March 19 & 21), Vanderbilt (April 2-4), Arkansas (April 23-25) and Georgia (May 16) will be available too. Fans can find more information about GatorVision Online by clicking on the GatorVision Online button at www.GatorZone.com.
Florida will kick off its 2010 campaign on Friday, Feb. 19, by hosting USF at 6:30 p.m. Season-ticket information is available by calling the Gator ticket office at 1-800-34-GoUF. Florida Farm Bureau Insurance is giving fans the opportunity to watch the Gators for free at McKethan Stadium. Fans that show their Florida Farm Bureau membership card at the McKethan Stadium Ticket Office can receive free tickets to any non-conference home game for a limited time.
