The NCAA has postponed the start of this week's NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships 24 hours and has set the meet's first prelims session to begin on Friday, March 26, at noon (ET), opposed to the originally scheduled March 25.
Meet host Ohio State University and the NCAA announced late Wednesday afternoon that 18 student-athletes and one coach were treated at the Ohio State University Medical Center and the Ohio State Sports Medicine Center for a possible gastrointestinal illness. The NCAA informed participating coaches late Wednesday evening that the start of the meet would be delayed by 24 hours. No University of Florida student-athletes or coaches were affected by the illness.
All events will remain in the same order with prelims beginning at noon and finals at 7 p.m. (ET) each day. The meet will now span Friday through Sunday, March 26-28, at Ohio State University's McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
