Florida punter Chas Henry (Dallas, Ga.) will be recognized Tuesday evening at the 26th Annual Peach of an Athlete Role Model Banquet at the Cobb Energy Centre in Atlanta as a nominee for the Amateur Athlete Award.
The event, sponsored by the Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, is dedicated to Georgia athletes who give their personal best to society and sports.
Off the field, Henry is an active participant in a variety of volunteer activities, including last July's Gator Charity Challenge. Henry has earned acclaim for his performance on the field, as well. He was a 2009 finalist for the Ray Guy Award and has posted two of the five highest single-season punting averages in UF history.
