Lacrosse Ready to Host No. 5 Georgetown

The Gator lacrosse team is set to take on No. 5 Georgetown on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Donald R. Dizney Lacrosse Stadium. The Gators are coming off a 22-11 win over St. Bonaventure, while the Hoyas fell to No. 1 Northwestern 15-10 over the weekend.
Florida (3-1) is led by freshmen Ashley Bruns (Ellicott City, Md.) and Brittany Dashiell (Bel Air, Md.) on offense. Bruns scored five goals and had two assists, all in the first half, against St. Bonaventure. She has 12 goals and 10 assists on the season. Dashiell is the team's second leading goal-scorer with nine through four games. Sophomore Rachael Zimmerman (Englewood, Co.) has a team-leading 12 grounds balls, and is tied with Dashiell with 11 draw controls.
All-Americans Molly Ford and Ashby Kaestner head up the Georgetown (1-1) attack. Ford has eight goals in two games, while Kaestner has four goals and two assists. Caitlin Formby has 24 saves in goal for the Hoyas.
