Five Gator Gymnasts Graduate This Weekend

Three members of Florida's 2010 Southeastern Conference championship gymnastics team - Amanda Castillo, Maranda Smith and Rebekah Zaiser -receive their undergraduate degrees this weekend. Two Gator gymnasts who finished their collegiate careers in 2009 – Corey Hartung and Melanie Sinclair – also receive their degrees this spring. They are among the 52 current and former University of Florida student-athletes who will participate in spring commencement ceremonies this weekend.
Every Gator gymnast graduating this weekend earned All-America honors during their career. The five graduates earned a total of 32 All-America honors as Gators.

The Gator football and men's track & field teams each have eight student-athletes who will receive degrees this semester. Seven baseball players, six soccer players and four softball players and four men's swimmers are graduating. Three student-athletes each from men's golf and women's track and field will each receive their degrees.
