Tuesday, April 6, 2010 | Baseball
University of Florida sophomore Alex Panteliodis (Tampa, Fla.) was named to the Primetime Performer Weekly Honor Roll produced by CollegeBaseball360.com on Tuesday. It is the second time that the left-hander has been recognized this season.
The southpaw limited No. 17 Vanderbilt to one run on seven hits over 6.1 innings during last Friday night's series opener. Panteliodis registered six strikeouts and two walks and did not receive a decision as the Gators used a two-run homer in the seventh by senior Matt den Dekker (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) to notch a 3-2 win over Commodore right-hander Sonny Gray.
On the season, Panteliodis is 5-1 with a 1.93 earned run average and has totaled 34 strikeouts in 37.1 innings. He has limited opponents to a .211 batting average during his seven appearances, including five starts.
Panteliodis was part of CollegeBaseball360.com's seventh group of Primetime Performers for action from March 29-April 4. Louisville senior first baseman Andrew Clark was named the Primetime Player of the Week, while Stanford sophomore right-hander Jordan Pries was the CB360 Primetime Pitcher of the Week.

The CB360 Primetime Performer honors various players based on any/all of the following “primetime” criteria (i.e. not solely based on raw stats):
• Must have been playing for a CB360 top-50 team (in the Composite National Rankings) or against such a top-level opponent, or performed a high level in a game that could be key to a team's conference/NCAA postseason qualification.
• Involved in clutch performances, such as late game-winning hits, noteworthy comebacks, game-changing plays, team leadership, etc.
• Performing at a top level against a team rated highly nationally (or within its conference), with bonus consideration given for key performances away from home field.
