Full Schedule Released for Gainesville Softball Regional

The No. 4 University of Florida softball team will host its 11th NCAA Regional in Gainesville from May 21-23 at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
FIU and UCF will face each other in the opener on Friday, May 21 at 3:30 p.m. (ET), followed by Florida's game against Bethune-Cookman at 6 p.m. (ET). The two winners will play the first game at 1 p.m. (ET) on Saturday, May 22, followed by the losers of the first two games at 3:30 p.m. The loser of Saturday's first game and the winner of the second will battle for the last spot at 6 p.m. On Sunday, the two remaining teams will play in the Regional Championship at 1 p.m. (ET) and if necessary, again at 3:30 p.m.
Video from all games will be streamed on www.ncaa.com, and Gator games can be heard on WYGC-FM 105 The Game (104.9) in the Gainesville area.
Ticket packages can be purchased in advance or at the gate for $25 for adults and $10 for students, senior citizens or children for all sessions (each day is one session). Single game tickets cost $10 for an adult ticket and $5 for students, senior citizens or children. Call the Gator Ticket Office at 352-375-4683.
Parking for all games will be available at Donald R. Dizney Lacrosse Stadium and at the Harn Museum.
The Gators are 7-1 against in-state rivals in 2010. Their loss came at the hands of FIU, which defeated UF, 8-3, in Gainesville. Florida made a comeback win to defeat UCF in Orlando, Fla., on a ninth-inning home run by freshman Brittany Schutte (Fountain Valley, Calif.). The Gators are 12-2 all-time against Bethune-Cookman, who won the MEAC Championship over the weekend.
