Isabelle Lendl Named to NGCA All-American Scholar Team

The National Golf Coaches Association announced Monday that the University of Florida's Isabelle Lendl has been named to the 2009-2010 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team. In order for a Division I golfer to be selected for this honor, she must carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and also must have competed in at least 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
Lendl, who just completed her freshman season at UF, had a grade point average of 3.67. She ended her rookie season with the Gators as an All-SEC Second Team selection and also was a member of the SEC All-Freshman Team. The highlight of Lendl's season was when she won the individual title at the Central District Invitational which earned her SEC Golfer of the Week honors as well. She finished the campaign second on the team with a 74.9 stroke average.
Lendl is the 10th women's golfer in UF history to earn NGCA All-American Scholar Golf Team honors and was one of 494 women's golfers named to the 2009-2010 NGCA All-American Scholar Team.
