
Incoming Freshmen Gymnasts Earn Spots on USA Senior National Team

Two incoming University of Florida freshmen - Mackenzie Caquatto and Kytra Hunter – are among the 13 who earned spots on the USA Senior National Gymnastics Team Saturday evening at the 2010 Visa Championships in Hartford, Conn.
Hunter, who trains at Hill's Gymnastics in Frederick, Md., took fourth in the all-around (114.35), balance beam (28.25) and floor exercise (29.30). Caquatto of Legacy Elite Gymnastics in Naperville, Ill., tied for fifth in the all-around (113.35), took fourth in uneven bars (28.90), shared seventh on beam (27.55) and was eighth in floor (27.70).
This is Caquatto's third consecutive appearance on the USA Senior National Team (2010-11, 2009-10 and 2008-09) and Hunter's second straight (2010-11 and 2009-10).

The pair will be joining the Gator Gymnastics team for the 2011 season. The 2010 Gator gymnastics team claimed the Southeastern Conference Championship, won the program's sixth consecutive NCAA Regional team title and took fifth in the NCAA Super Six team final.
