UF WBB's Azania Stewart Submits her 11th Blog About her Summer Adventures in Europe
Florida junior Azania Stewart (Wood Green, England) traveled to her native country of England, where she will be playing basketball throughout the summer, strengthening her chances of making the 2012 Great Britain Olympic Team.

Stewart was selected to play this summer for her native country's Great Britain Standard Life team.
GB Standard Life women's head coach Tom Maher selected a strong roster for his debut campaign leading the senior team as its looks to qualify for the Eurobasket Championship which will be held in Poland in 2011.
Maher who has an impressive coaching pedigree at club and international level, leading Australia, New Zealand and China to Olympic Games - including a silver and bronze for Australia in 2000 and 1996 respectively and a fourth place finish for China in Beijing in 2008.
The roster includes a mixture of experience and emerging talent ahead of what will be a tough campaign where they will play Slovak Republic, Germany and Ukraine home and away.
Stewart, a 6-foot-4 center, started 23 of the 27 games she played during the 2009-10 season, when during her sophomore campaign, led the Southeastern Conference in field goal percentage, hitting 61.9 percent (91-147) from the floor. She ranked third for the Gators in scoring 8.7 points, while collecting 3.6 rebounds and blocking a team-best 46 shots.
In preparation of the campaign, camp commenced on June 4th at a training base in Stirling, before a number test games, two of which were at Surrey University, and away fixtures in Belgium, Holland and Israel. All the test games superseded the competitive Eurobasket schedule which got underway on August 14th at home against Slovakia.
