
Gymnastics Team's Academics Recognized by NACGA

The University of Florida gymnastics team was recognized by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches Association for its 2009-10 grade point average. The NACGC recognizes the academic accomplishments of collegiate gymnastics teams each season. The Gators posted a 3.31 cumulative team GPA for the 2009-10 academic year.
Eight members of the 2010 Gator gymnastics team earned spots on the NACGC Scholastic All-America team.

To qualify for the NACGC Scholastic All-America team, a gymnast must have a GPA of 3.50 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above at the nominating institution.
Zaiser, who earned All-America honors as a senior, appeared on the NACGC Scholastic All-America team each year of her collegiate career. Goodwin qualified for the team for the third time while Ellis and Ferguson make their second consecutive appearance on the list. Green, Lemezan and Stageberg make their first NACGC Scholastic All-America appearance in 2010.
In 2010, the Gator gymnastics team claimed the SEC Championship, won the program's sixth consecutive NCAA Regional team title and took fifth in the NCAA Super Six team final.
