Head Coach Mary Wise Met with the Media on Monday

University of Florida head coach Mary Wise addressed the media Monday morning as part of the Gators' All-Sports Media Day.
Coach Wise shared her assessment of last weekend's Nike Volleyball Big Four Classic that featured No. 1 Penn State, No. 2 Stanford, No. 4 Texas and No. 5 Florida. The Gators fell 3-1 to Penn State before rebounding to defeat Texas, 3-2. Florida has now posted four wins against top-15 competition through seven matches this season. Kelly Murphy and Callie Rivers were named to the Nike Volleyball Big Four Classic All-Tournament Team.
She then previewed this week's matches, when the team opens Southeastern Conference play traveling to No. 16 Kentucky (Friday, 7 p.m.) and No. 14 Tennessee (Sunday, 2 p.m.). Sunday's match will be carried live on CSS.
Coach also discussed and fielded questions about the strength of the SEC, on not being the preseason league favorite, on the play of the four teams in last weekend's Nike Volleyball Big Four Classic, on freshman setter Chanel Brown and on the crowd that attended the Nike event.
