Quick, who is the tallest non-basketball student-athlete at UF?
If you know the answer off the top of your head, you really are a Gator fan.
The answer is baseball player Greg Larson, who stands 6-foot-8.
Who is the oldest student-athlete at UF during the 2010-11 season?
Easy, men's track performer Kemal Mesic, who turned 25 Aug. 4. That makes Mesic more than seven years older than UF's youngest student-athlete, men's basketball player Scottie Wilbekin, who turned 17 on April 5.
How do I know this stuff? I'm flipping through the Team Florida 2010-11 report, which the UF Communications Office puts out.
The report compiles information from the rosters of all UF varsity sports and breaks that info down into interesting nuggets.
How many total student-athletes are at UF this season? 458 as of Sept. 15.
How many male? 248
Average height? 5-foot-9.63 inches.
The tallest? Men's basketball players Vernon Macklin and Chandler Parsons, who each register at 6-10.
Which student-athlete came the longest way to enroll at UF? Women's swimmer Ellese Zalweski from Melbourne, Australia, which is located 9691.9 miles from Gainesville.

As you can see, the report contains a lot of information.
