Wednesday, September 29, 2010 | Football, Scott Carter
Gators coach Urban Meyer just wrapped up his slot on the weekly SEC media teleconference. Alabama's Nick Saban is scheduled to come on soon.
Here is a quick recap of Meyer's interview:
--He said the No. 1-ranked Crimson Tide looks very impressive on film: "I think the thing they have over every other team in the country right now is talent and experience,'' Meyer said.
--Asked what his expectations were of winning SEC titles when he took over the Gators, Meyer said: "I thought you could win or I would have never moved my family across the country."
--"I have no problem with the way John has played.'' Meyer on starting QB John Brantley through four games. Meyer said he thinks Brantley is playing at a very high level after Kentucky.
--Meyer says there is no change in Chris Rainey's status with the team; added that OL James Wilson remains sidelined w/knee injury
--"He came in here as one our best workers we've ever had as a true freshman. Football is very important to him.'' Meyer on CB Janoris Jenkins
--"He's out of his boot today. He will have very limited practice today. I'd say it's probable that he'll play.'' Meyer on RB Jeff Demps.
