UF men's hoops team climbs back into polls
Monday, January 24, 2011 | Men's Basketball, Track and Field, Scott Carter
Back-to-back wins by the UF men's basketball team over Auburn and Arkansas -- Florida held both teams to 43 points or less -- caught the attention of the national poll voters.
The Gators climbed back into both the AP Top 25 and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll on Monday afternoon.
Florida, after checking in at No. 35 overall in last week's AP poll, moved back into the Top 25 at No. 24 on Monday. The Gators were technically No. 38 in the ESPN/Today poll a week ago, but climbed 15 spots to No. 23 in the latest rankings.
Check out GatorZone.com later for a story on the Gators as they prepare to hit the road for a game at Georgia on Tuesday night.
