
College GameDay Returns to Gainesville Next Saturday, February 5th

For the first time since 2008, and third time overall, ESPN College GameDay travels to Gainesville next Saturday, February 5th, leading in to the Florida men's basketball team's matchup with Kentucky.
ESPN's College GameDay will air from the Stephen C. O'Connell Center from 10 a.m.-noon with the first hour appearing on ESPNU and the second hour on ESPN. An additional hour of coverage will originate from inside the O'Connell Center at 8 p.m., culminating with Florida and Kentucky at 9 p.m.
Doors to the O'Connell Center will open at 8:30am on Saturday, with the first 3,000 fans receiving free “rollbannas” courtesy of State Farm. In addition, the first 500 students will receive free breakfast, and one lucky student will have a chance to shoot a half-court shot to win $18,000 in CASH from State Farm.
Students can also win a VIP Gator Basketball Prize Pack by creating a “Big Head” of any Gator Basketball player or coach and bringing it to the show.

ESPN College GameDay is returning for its seventh season of college basketball coverage. Florida has been a part of the event on four occasions previously, twice in Gainesville and twice on the road. The Gators are 3-1 all-time with GameDay on hand, having defeated Kentucky twice in Gainesville (Feb. 4, 2006 and Jan. 19, 2008), as well as once at Rupp Arena (Feb. 10, 2007). Florida's lone loss was at Tennessee on Jan. 31, 2009.
College GameDay features host Rece Davis with returning analysts Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps, Hubert Davis and Bob Knight.
