Both teams come into Sunday's match with shutout wins over their Friday league opponent. The Gators posted a 2-0 win over Vanderbilt off first-half goals by a pair of juniors. Erika Tymrak scored from a step inside the top of the box when her shot clipped the inside of the near post and flew to the upper far post corner in the 23rd minute. In the 36th minute, freshman Havana Solaun had the ball in the box and spied Holly King unmarked above the six-yard box. The pass caught King's sliding right foot and scored at the far post.
The goal pushed Tymrak's team-high season goals total to nine, with all the goals coming in UF's last 10 matches. She shares the SEC season goals lead with Georgia sophomore Alexa Newfield.
Kentucky has appeared among teams receiving votes in the last three National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) polls after opening the season with a 9-2 record. The Wildcats opened league play last weekend with a 4-1 loss at No. 20 Auburn and won 4-1 at Alabama. Friday, the Wildcats claimed their first win over South Carolina since 2006 when sophomore Catlin Landis provided the only goal of the match in the 42nd minute. Junior Kelsey Hunyadi leads the Wildcats with seven goals and seven assists for 21 points.
