
No. 10 Gators Men's Golf Preps for The Bake at The Ocean Course

Coming off a tie for seventh place at a rain shortened Inverness Intercollegiate, the No. 10 Florida men's golf team will return to action when it travels to Kiawah Island, S.C., to compete in The Bake at The Ocean Course on Monday, Oct. 17, and Tuesday Oct. 18.
The Gators will bring a lineup of senior Michael Furci (Sayville, N.Y.), juniors T.J. Vogel (Cooper City, Fla.), Tyler McCumber (Ponte Vedra, Fla.) and Tommy Mou (Bradenton, Fla.), and freshmen J.D. Tomlinson (Gainesville, Fla.) and Eric Banks (Truro, Canada) to the par-72, 7,504 yard, course. Four of the six Gators' totals will count towards the team score each of the three rounds.
The 12-team field at The Bake at The Ocean Course consists of the College of Charleston, Charleston Southern, Davidson, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Mercer, Notre Dame, Richmond, UAB, USF and USC Upstate. Of the teams competing, UF (10) is ranked in the Golfworld/Nike Golf Coaches Poll, while Notre Dame and UAB are receiving votes.
This is the Gators first time competing in the second year tournament.
Tee times for Monday's 36 holes will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Tee times for Tuesday's 18 holes begin at 9:00 a.m. Live scoring for the tournament will be available through golfstat.com.
