Gators Ranked No. 10 in Preseason USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll

The preseason men's basketball USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll has been released, and the Florida Gators check in at No. 10.
It marks the sixth time the Gators have been ranked preseason top 10 in the coaches' poll, all coming under head coach Billy Donovan. It is the team's highest preseason ranking in the coaches' poll since being rated preseason No. 1 heading into the 2006-07 season.
Florida returns two starters and seven letterwinners from last season's Elite Eight team that posted a 29-8 record and won the SEC with a 13-3 conference mark.
The Gators opened practice on Oct. 14 and fans will get their first look at the 2011-12 team on Thursday, Nov. 3, as Florida squares off against Catholic University in an exhibition game at the O'Connell Center. UF opens its regular season on Friday, Nov. 11, hosting Jackson State at 7 p.m.
