University of Florida head coach Amanda Butler addressed the media Monday morning as part of the Gators' All-Sports Media Day.
Butler said that she is seeing great practices and quality play from people as the team is moving in the right direction and with the level of competition being so high, so they are very pleased to this point. Butler noted that right now they are in a good spot and relatively healthy with a lot of versatility in certain positions. When it comes to the non-conference schedule, the Gators are challenging themselves against good teams with post season appearances and they want to be challenged and ready for SEC play in January.
The Gators continue practicing in preparation for their 2011-12 season-opener, when the team plays host to Michigan on November 11 in the O'Connell Center. It will be the first game of a UF basketball doubleheader.
