University of Florida head coach Becky Burleigh addressed the media Monday morning as part of the Gators' All-Sports Media Day.
Burleigh discussed last weekend's matches, as the Gators shutout Vanderbilt and Kentucky in front of impressive home crowds. Burleigh said to get shutouts there needs to be a team effort by getting good play from every position on the field and this weekend the team all started to get on the same page and limit opportunities opponents have. Burleigh also noted that the team is handling situations better during the course of the game and it has been more disciplined as well.
The No. 12-ranked Gators (10-3, 3-1 SEC) wrap up their four-game home stand this weekend when the team plays host to No. 20 Auburn on Friday at 7 p.m. and Alabama on Sunday at 3 p.m. Friday's contest is the Gators' fourth annual breast cancer awareness match and the first 400 fans receive pink “Kicking for the Cure” t-shirts.
