University of Florida head coach Gregg Troy addressed the media Monday morning as part of the Gators' All-Sports Media Day.
With the men ending up in a tie and the women falling just short, both against Georgia, Troy said they there were some very good competitions on the women's side and they don't like to lose, but it was good to see the women compete well. Troy said that the men had a tremendous performance and for both the men and women, some swimmers carried the load and others need to step up as both teams had a chance to win, but errors proved costly.
This week is big for the men and women as Florida State will give the Gators everything they have and then the women will head to compete at Michigan as the men will have time off to fill holes and prepare.
The Gators host in-state rival Florida State on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 5:00 p.m. for their last home meet of 2011 season. The women's squad will then travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. to partake in a double-dual meet with Michigan and Stanford.
