
Women's Golf Adds One For 2012-13

The University of Florida women's golf program has signed Ursa Orehek (Domzale, Slovenia) to a National Letter of Intent, head coach Jan Dowling announced today. Orehek will continue her academic and athletic career for the Gators beginning in 2012-13 season.
"Ursa has a wealth of international experience that will have an immediate impact on our team upon her arrival in Gainesville,” Dowling explained. “She also has a passion for the game of golf, and she is very determined to become one of the best players in college golf and beyond"
Orehek, who attended Siska High School in Ljubljana, Slovenia, has had numerous successes on the junior and amateur levels. Orehek was crowned the 2011 Slovenian International Junior Champion after posting a tournament total of 217 (+1). She has also brought home second-place finishes at both the 2011 Slovenian Women's Amateur and the 2010 Orange Bowl which was played at Biltmore Golf Course in Miami, Fla. Additionally, Orehek has represented Slovenia at the 2010 World Amateur Golf Championships in Argentina.
