Reserve DB Josh Shaw not at today's game vs. Furman
Saturday, November 19, 2011 | Football, Scott Carter
The Gators will be without reserve defensive back Josh Shaw today against Furman.

A redshirt freshman, Shaw caught an early-morning flight to California to spend time with his ailing grandfather.
Shaw has played in nine of 10 games with 22 tackles, one tackle-for-loss and one pass break-up.
Florida's secondary is already without injured cornerbacks Marcus Roberson (neck) and Jeremy Brown (knee, has not played this season).
Roberson had started all 10 games but suffered a sprained neck in the loss at South Carolina last week. The Gators are expected to start Cody Riggs and Jaylen Watkins at cornerback against Furman.
Meanwhile, redshirt junior linebacker Lerentee McCray is also not expected to play. He will be replaced in the lineup by sophomore Darrin Kitchens.
Also, kicker Zach Brust is handling kickoff duties in place of Brad Phillips.
