In spirit of Thanksgiving, Muschamp urges Gators to say 'thank you' to someone special

Gators quarterback John Brantley said he plans to have a few teammates over and then plop down and watch some football.

Running back Chris Rainey has spent Thanksgivings past with the family of former teammates Maurkice and Mike Pouncey. This year he'll probably spend it with some teammates or one of the coaches.
The Gators will practice on Thursday morning before heading off on their own for Thanksgiving.
When the team met Monday morning, Gators coach Will Muschamp shared his holiday message to the group.
“I want everybody to call somebody in your life and thank them," Muschamp said. "We're in such a society of self-entitlement and, 'How does it affect me?' Somebody has helped you get to the University of Florida. Somebody's helped you accomplish the things you've accomplished in life, so I want everybody in the room to call somebody and thank them for what they've done for them."
The Gators will reconvene on Friday in preparation for Saturday's regular-season finale against Florida State.
Rainey had the best quote when asked about the dynamics of FSU week being interrupted by a holiday.
“It's great, something fun to do right after Thanksgiving,'' Rainey said.
