GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Junior forward Erik Murphy will miss Friday night's home game against Jacksonville with a knee injury sustained during practice Thursday.
The severity of Murphy's injury will be addressed by Gators coach Billy Donovan after the game.
Sophomore Will Yeguette will make the start of Gators career, replacing Murphy up front as the Gators (3-1) try to avenge an overtime loss to the Dolphins (2-2) a year ago. Yeguette is averaging 4.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and about 13 minutes per game.
Murphy, the 6-foot-10, 230-pounder from South Kingstown, R.I., has started all four games this season, averaging 10 points on 53.8-percent shooting and four rebounds per game for the Gators. He had a season-best 14 points in UF's loss at Ohio State.
