Former Gators long snapper Harold Monk dies unexpectedly

Former Gators long snapper Harold Monk, who transitioned from football into real estate and private business, died unexpectedly on Tuesday.
Monk, 42, was a UF letterman from 1991-93. A Gainesville Buchholz graduate, Monk owned a pair of Gator Spirits and Fine Wines stores in Gainesville.
Gainesville's WCJB-TV 20 reported Monk's death on its website Tuesday evening.
"Harold was an extremely hard-working player. He was a good person, an excellent player, and we are saddened to hear of his passing,'' former Gators coach Steve Spurrier told the station.
