Tickets Remain for Gators vs. Rider in Jacksonville
Thursday, December 8, 2011 | Men's Basketball
Fresh off a thrilling overtime victory over Arizona Wednesday night, the No. 12 University of Florida men's basketball team returns to action on Friday night vs. Rider in a game played at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena ( 7 p.m. tip).
The Gators return to the site where they kick-started their run to the 2006 NCAA title. Florida is 7-0 all-time in the building and will be making its first appearance on the First Coast since defeating Jacksonville early in the 2009-10 season.
The game is a homecoming for Jacksonville-native Patric Young who torched Arizona for a career-high 25 points and 10 rebounds on Wednesday night.
The Gators are off to a 6-2 start on the year and are making their third stop on the tour of the state of Florida, having already picked up neutral site victories over Wright State in Tampa, and against Stetson in Orlando.
Plenty of good seats remain available for Friday night's contest. Tickets start at $10 and can be purchased (here).
