University of Florida assistant coach Brenda Mock Kirkpatrick addressed the media Monday morning in head coach Amanda Butler's absence, as part of the Gators' All-Sports Media Day.
Coach Mock shared her thoughts on the Gator's performances last week, when they came up short in a pair of road games, falling at No. 4 Tennessee (61-39) and at Alabama (64-59).
The Gators have a midweek bye and return to competition on Sunday, Feb. 20, and play host to Mississippi State at 4:30 p.m. Mississippi State's game will serve as the team's PINK ZONE game, a WBCA initiative bringing awareness to breast cancer.
Florida has just three regular-season games remaining prior to the start of the SEC Tournament held March 3-6 in Nashville, Tenn. The Gator's remaining dates include Feb. 24 at Vanderbilt and Feb. 27 hosting Georgia.
Of the 27 games UF has played this year, 17 have been decided by 10 points or less, with 12 of those by six points or less.
