Beat the Clock This Week At Gator Baseball and Take Advantage of Some Great Promotions
Wednesday, February 23, 2011 | Baseball
The top-ranked Gator baseball team (4-0) continues its season versus the Boston College Eagles (2-1) this Thursday, Friday and Sunday at McKethan Stadium. Due to the time change of Thursday's game to 5 p.m. and Friday's start time of 5 p.m., the University Athletic Association, Inc. (UAA) is proud to announce some great ticket and concessions promotions for the series.
For Thursday's and Friday's games, fans that arrive early can “Beat the Clock” and purchase $2 general admission tickets from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the McKethan Stadium ticket booths. In addition, fans can pick-up $2 hamburgers, $1 hot dogs and $1 popcorns at the concessions stands (from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.).
Thursday night is also Gator Booster Night; Gator Booster members with a valid Booster I.D. receive free general admission entrance to the game (one general admission per I.D.). The promotion is one of three dates for the entire baseball season (April 2 & April 30). Another fan-friendly promotion is Friday's Pepsi Family Nights. Every Friday night, fans can purchase four (4) general admission tickets, four (4) hot dogs and four (4) sodas for only $20.
Just a reminder, Sundays at McKethan Stadium are “Family Sundays,” all general admission tickets, small popcorn and 12-ounce sodas are only one dollar. Prior to each Sunday game, kids 12 and under can run onto the field and stand with the Gator baseball players for the National Anthem. Immediately following the game, fans can receive autographs from the players in “Autograph Alley” and for non-conference games, kids 12 and under can participate in “Circle the Bases with Albert”.
To help assist fans for Thursday's baseball and men's basketball games (basketball vs. Georgia at 7 p.m.) and Friday's early start time of 5 p.m., a free parking shuttle will be available for fans attending events. The shuttle will begin running at 3:30 p.m. on both days and parking for the shuttle is available in the commuter lot on Gale Lemerand Drive across from the UF Physics building. The shuttle will run until 30-minutes after the final event of the day concludes. The O'Connell Center parking garage will also be available both Thursday and Friday on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans will need to enter the parking lot off of SW 2nd Avenue to access the garage.
