Florida Golfer Andres Echavarria Earns Second Place Finish at Nationwide Tournament

Florida redshirt-senior Andres Echavarria (Medellin, Colombia) earned a second-place finish at the Chitimacha Louisiana Open on Sunday, March 27 at the Le Triomphe Country Club in Chitimacha, La.
The Chitimacha is one of the top stops on the Nationwide Tour.
Echavarria shot 12-under par in four rounds, finishing one stroke behind medalist Brett Wetterich. He shot a 69, 66, 70 and 67 for a total score of 272 to beat out 73 other professional golfers.
