
Roland Thornqvist Recaps Regular-Season Finale, Previews SEC Tournament

University of Florida women's tennis head coach Roland Thornqvist met with the media on Monday and shared his thoughts about the Gator's performance last week and previewed the Southeastern Conference Tournament.

Coach Thornqvist talked about and answered questions about the SEC Tournament field, on the three freshmen adjusting to team tennis, on rookie Sofie Oyen's improvement and on sophomore Allie Will (Boca Raton, Fla.) performance this year playing the No. 1 singles and doubles positions.
Will was recognized on Monday as the SEC Player of the Week.
The Gators (22-1, 11-0 SEC) won the SEC regular-season title, earned the No. 1 seed in the SEC Tournament and received a first-round bye for the 12-team event that begins Thursday in Knoxville. Florida will play the winner of the match between Ole Miss and South Carolina on Friday at Noon, ET.
