Erika Tymrak at U.S. Under-23 National Team Training Camp

University of Florida rising junior Erika Tymrak (Lakewood Ranch, Fla.) joins 23 of the nation's top college players in California this week for the U.S. Soccer Under-23 Women's National Team training camp. The camp, held at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., runs from April 24-May 1.
Led by head coach Bill Irwin, the U-23s will scrimmage against the U.S. U-20 WNT that is holding a concurrent training camp on April 27, followed by games against women's club Ajax of Los Angeles (April 29) and WPSL side Orange County Waves (April 30).
Tymrak appeared in all 24 matches of the 2010 season. She led the Southeastern Conference in assists (13) and was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Performance Subaru All-South Region first team. Tymrak was also named an All-SEC first team selection and the SEC Tournament MVP.
She is the third Gator called into a U.S. age group national team training camp this year. Redshirt sophomore Kathryn Williamson, the 2010 Southeastern Conference Defensive Player of the Year, attended the Jan. 9-16 U-23 camp also held at the Home Depot Center. Midfielder Taylor Travis, the 2010 SEC Freshman of the Year, attended a U.S. U-20 camp in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., in January.
