Rising University of Florida junior Erika Tymrak (Lakewood Ranch, Fla.) is with the U.S. Under-23 Women's National Team in Falun, Sweden for three matches. U.S. head coach Bill Irwin called up the 18 players that will face the Norway U-23 women on June 17 and then play the Sweden U-23 women twice, on June 19 and June 21.
The roster is made up of many of the top college-aged players in the country, all of whom will be heading to pre-season training camps this coming August.
Eight players on the roster have been a part of Women's World Cup teams at the U-17 or U-20 level, including Tymrak who was a member of the U.S. team at the 2008 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in New Zealand.
Tymrak appeared in all 24 matches of the Gators' 2010 season. She led the Southeastern Conference in assists (13) and was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Performance Subaru All-South Region first team. Tymrak was also named an All-SEC first team selection and the SEC Tournament MVP.
