Wednesday, July 20, 2011 | Football
Signaling that football season is just around the corner, the Southeastern Conference will hold its annual media days the next three days in Birmingham, Ala., giving local, regional and national media a chance to meet with members of all 12 member institutions.
The University of Florida kicks things off today with first-year head coach Will Muschamp, quarterback John Brantley, defensive end William Green and wide receiver Deonte Thompson representing the Gators (click here for a complete list of attendees).
For those interested in following, the SEC will stream coverage of its media days while ESPNU will have six hours of coverage on Wednesday, airing live from 1-7 p.m. ET. The Gators take part from 2-4:50 p.m. today and Muschamp's press conference at the podium in the print room will air from 3:10-50 p.m.
We'll have coverage later this evening from GatorZone.com Senior Writer Scott Carter and you can follow his updates from SEC Media Days at @GatorZoneScott.
The Gators kick-off football season in just 45 days when they host Florida Atlantic on Sept. 3 at the Swamp.
