SEC Football Media Days are here, which means start of season in South

You know it's a big event when they spread it out over three afternoons and call it SEC Football Media Days.
The event officially kicks off football season Southern style and starts today here at the Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover, Ala.
The event has provided some memorable quotes over the years. Here is a list compiled by The Birmingham News.
In terms of media coverage, it's one of the biggest sporting events of the year -- a record 923 media credentials were issued in 2009 in Gators quarterback Tim Tebow's final season. The running joke is that no one really knows how many were media members and how many were fans.
With the hotel attached to a large mall, fans are everywhere hoping to get a glimpse of their favorite coach or player. There were already several fans in the hotel lobby Tuesday night.
The media portion of the event kicks off this afternoon with the Gators and Arkansas in the first session starting at 2 p.m. SEC Commissioner Mike Slive is scheduled to address the media starting at 1:30.
The Florida contingent includes head coach Will Muschamp, quarterback John Brantley, defensive end William Green and receiver Deonte Thompson. For Green, a senior, it's actually a homecoming of sorts since he grew up in Hoover.
They better bring their best sound bites because they'll be doing plenty of talking.
Here is Muschamp's schedule of interviews in 10-minute intervals starting at 2 p.m.: Radio/Internet, TV1, TV2, CSS, FSN, CBS, ESPNU, Print (3:10-3:50 p.m.), ESPN SEC, ESPN, SEC DN, SEC Radio and finally, SIRIUS/XM from 4:30 to 4:40 p.m.
