"UF fans are going to like this offense,'' Brantley said. "We're ready to show everybody what we've got.''
Brantley said Monday that his sore back is fine. Brantley sat out one of Florida's scrimmages and was limited last week in practice to receive treatment.
"I've been feeling good lately, and I'm ready to move forward,” Brantley said. "I'm not worried about it at all.”
Brantley is the only Gators quarterback with any game action. True freshman Jeff Driskel is the backup, and two other freshmen -- Jacoby Brissett and redshirt freshman Tyler Murphy -- provide depth.
Gators coach Will Muschamp said he's not sure yet if he'll try to get Driskel into Saturday's opener against Florida Atlantic just to give him some game experience.
As for Brantley, he is managing the lower back pain and doesn't expect it to hamper his play.
"[I've] just been in the training room a lot lately trying to make it feel good,” Brantley said. “It's just been a bunch of little soreness, tightness. Nothing major at all.”
